Dr Ziółko – why are we the best-known Cannabis Shop chain in Poland?

We’ve been involved in the cannabis industry for 20 years! We took our first steps working on cannabis cultivation in the Netherlands and the USA, co-founding the Monks Seeds seed bank, which operated as part of the Breeders Association. Having gained valuable experience, we decided to launch our own brand, and so Dr Ziółko was founded in 2014. How has Dr Ziółko developed since then, and what is the basis of its operations? We can say with certainty that it is an incredibly versatile project!

Elite genetics are the foundation!

The Monks Seeds brand was unveiled for the first time at a trade fair held in Denver in 2015. This was even before the global boom in CBD products and medical cannabis. The sudden surge in the cannabis market, which occurred around two years later, helped the company really spread its wings.

Breeders at Monks Seeds have been working on cannabis seed genetics, including CBD, for eight years. Cultivation takes place in Switzerland and North Macedonia, where the law is more favourable towards medical cannabis. This allows the team to select strains that are prohibited from cultivation in our country. Their diligence and the highest standards have already been recognised – Monks Seeds have won awards in the USA, Switzerland, North Macedonia, the Czech Republic and Chile.

Broadening the horizons of cannabis

As Dr Ziółko, we are extremely active in promoting education and raising public awareness. Furthermore, thanks to the many initiatives we have undertaken and the contacts we have established within the industry, we have made a significant contribution to ‘demystifying’ cannabis, which for many years in Poland was associated solely with drugs, and later also with designer drugs.

We make our presence felt in the market by taking part in trade fairs held in the Czech Republic, Spain, Austria, Germany and Poland. We also take part in tattoo conventions, the annual Cannabis Liberation Marches, the Hemp Harvest Festival in Sandomierz, and sporting events.

We also enter into individual sponsorship partnerships with many artists and sportspeople.

Throughout all the years of our operation, we have consistently strived to expand our range.
